Welcome to the Blue Mountain Lake Boat Livery! Located on beautiful Blue Mountain
Lake in the heart of the Adirondacks, our business has been operating since 1908.
We offer many kinds of boat rentals from small handheld outboards perfect for fishing
to large outboards ideal for skiing and tubing. We also rent both small and large
pontoon boats. Kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, windsurfers, day sailors, sunfish, water
skis, tubes, wakeboards and many other vessels and water toys are available for rental
or sale. In our surrounding area lakes, we provide pick-up and drop-off services
for small boats, sailboats, and canoes.
Our two hour scenic boat cruise in one of our original 1916 wooden launches is a
wonderful way to acquaint yourself with Blue Mountain and its two connected lakes:
we cover both the exquisite landscapes and rich histories in our two hour guided
tour. Our largest vintage wooden boat, the Towahloondah, can hold up to 46 people,
while our smaller wooden boats, the Osprey and Neenykin, comfortably hold 16. Don't
worry about weather - we have covered the Osprey with a green canvas top. All three
of these boats are available for private evening cocktail cruises or weddings.
As a registered Vanguard dealer, we have small racing sailboats, such as Sunfish,
available for both rental and purchase. We can provide you with most Vanguard parts
on site and can order any additional parts for your sailboat. On windy days, Blue
Mountain Lake can provide a great sailing experience for all types of sailors. The
beginner has plenty of room to learn in our Town Bay while expert sailors will enjoy
a tack into windier and more challenging portions of the lake.
Full of crystal-clear water and public islands, Blue Mountain Lake is ideal for boating
and picnicking. If you already have a boat and wish to experience the lake, we have
a boat ramp that allows for easy access to the water. Our rental canoes are perfect
for an afternoon picnic or a longer camping trip. Beautiful island campsites are
available on a first-come, first-serve basis; we will shuttle canoeists out to the
various campsites on our public islands. Connected to the Fulton and Eckford Chains,
Blue Mountain Lake is a great place to begin a several day canoe camping adventure.
For the fisherman, we sell bait (worms, crayfish and shiners) and equipment.
Blue Mountain Lake is the cleanest lake east of the Mississippi and provides beautiful
mountain views and hiking trails. If you'd like to see a visual map of the lake and
islands, with local business and attractions marked, please click here.
Don't miss out on lunch! Part of the Blue Mountain Lake Boat Livery, Crabby Bob's
seafood and grill is a great spot for a quick hamburger or crab cake, as well as
ice cream, pies, drinks, candy and chips. Crabby Bob also places seafood orders twice
a week, so if you're looking for lobsters, clams or other seafood, give us a call!
